Why fingerprint recognition is inferior to facial recognition?

There are a few reasons why facial recognition might be considered superior to fingerprint recognition in some cases:

Ease of use: It is often easier to capture a facial image than to capture a fingerprint, especially if the person being identified is moving or not in a position to place their finger on a scanner.

Non-intrusive: Facial recognition does not require physical contact, making it a non-intrusive method of identification. This can be important in situations where personal privacy is a concern.

Multiple points of comparison: Facial recognition algorithms can compare multiple points on a person's face, allowing for more accurate identification. In contrast, fingerprint recognition typically relies on a single fingerprint for identification.

Adaptability: Facial recognition algorithms can adapt to changes in a person's appearance, such as facial hair or makeup, which can make them more robust in certain situations.

That being said, there are also some advantages to fingerprint recognition. For example, fingerprints are unique to an individual and do not change over time, making them a reliable means of identification. Additionally, fingerprint scanners are widely available and relatively inexpensive, making them an accessible option for many organizations.
